REVIEWS
Centurion Marius is a tough leader to his men, despite the shame that drove him from Rome. Delia
is sister to an uncaring Corieltauvi tribal king, warrior queen to her people. The last thing she expects is to find herself craving
the touch of an enemy. Thrown into the clash between 80,000 angry Bretons and 10,000 Roman soldiers, they find themselves on
opposing sides, in love, and unable to stop the future. The revolution that sparked their desire...could now destroy them.

GLADIATORIAL STRATEGIES: I had a wonderful chat with my historical expert this week about gladiatorial vs. military strategies in
the arena. Turns out, gladiators were not trained in the same techniques as soldiers. There were Roman soldiers, either deserters
or volunteers, who did fight in the arena and brought their skills with them. Your garden variety gladiator, however, was trained
to be...well, entertaining. Think WWF instead of the Olympics. People paid to see them fight, so the show had to be good. I also learned
that a man can only fight one other man at a time and, despite what you see in the movies, even the best trained men can only go a
couple of minutes against multiple opponents. I had to come up with a strategy to get Marius and Thane (the gladiator he is fighting
with) through a battle with six other well-trained gladiators. Here is what I came up with: GLADIATOR FIGHT SCENE. My thanks to Gene
for helping me...and Marius, out of a very grave situation with some finesse. It's even plausible. Good luck and good reading, everyone.

THE BRETON & THE GENERAL - COMING AUGUST 26TH!
The Boudicca revolt has been squelched, the tribes of the
Iceni and the Trinovantes exterminated by the Roman Governor of Britannia, Suetonius. He has sworn his revenge on the remaining tribes
for the Celtic insolence.
Marius and Delia are now King and Queen of a broken Celtic tribe. Using his twenty-five
years as a Roman Centurion, Marius has to use all his skill and cunning to help his hunted people as they flee before General Suetonius'
sword. They struggle to keep their people together and the rest of a nation from fading into history.
Marius
and Delia are threatened by secret plots, jealousy, and a new enemy that hammers a wedge between them, which even an unborn child
may not be able to dislodge when Marius falls under the charms of Delia's sworn enemy.
